Baby Doves

I made this bento last year, and published on my facebook.. i made this bento when there's dove nested in front of my apartment balcon. My sons very happy when he knew it... everyday he looked at and checked whether the egg had hatched or not.. hehe..

so, i make baby doves in nest for his bento that day, and he is very happy :)


what's on lunch box?
it is spagetti with chicken topping, quail eggs as baby doves, sausage, fried tofu in star shape, and lettuce and slices of tomatoes. 

bento is a best give for those i loves ;)

Carrot Cake

Yeeaaayy..carrot cake..!! like it..!! 

well it's not my first time make this cake, i make this cake about more than 3 times and already try 2 recipes.. but i'll tell you that this recipe is my favourite.. easy and not too oily as other recipe i got..


i made this cake when some of my friends and their family came to my house. I made this carrot cake as a snack. beside, i also prepared gado gado to welcomed my friends (Indonesian dish contains vegetables, tofu, tempeh and lontong with peanuts sauce dresing). i'll share about gado gado later ;)

this carrot cake is moist and very yummy ;) i got the recipe here :

Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 1 1/4 cups vegetable oil
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda *IKA used 1 teaspoon
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder *IKA 1 teaspoon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 3 cups grated carrots
  • 1 cup chopped pecans *IKA omit
this is for frosting, and i didn't make it..
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 4 cups confectioners' sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped pecans


Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch pan.
  2. In a large bowl, beat together eggs, oil, white sugar and 2 teaspoons vanilla. Mix in flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt and cinnamon. Stir in carrots. Fold in pecans. Pour into prepared pan.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven for 40 to 50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Let cool in pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack and cool completely. *IKA : 160 degree C, 60 minutes.
  4. To Make Frosting: In a medium bowl, combine butter, cream cheese, confectioners' sugar and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Beat until the mixture is smooth and creamy. Stir in chopped pecans. Frost the cooled cake.

Heroic Monument and Higomaru Kun bento

Today's bento is about my hometown and the city that me and my family lives now. I make both of city icon. My hometown Surabaya, Indonesia is known by its icon Tugu Pahlawan or Heroic Monument. It is the main symbol of the city, dedicated to the people who died during the Battle of Surabaya on November 10, 1945. 

and the city which i live now is Kumamoto, Japan has a castle name Kumamoto castle which has an icon named Higomaru Kun.

so here is my sons bento for today : 


he has rice with higomaru kun and heroic monument above, details is from nori and cheese. steamed broccoli, and chicken karaage, also few of carrots and chicken sausage.

Puppies on the bus

Some days ago my sons asked me to make Indonesian yellow rice, it is a rice which add some seasoning while cooking.. such as lemongrass, pandan leaves, salt and turmeric.. it tasty rice.

and still in the dog theme, i make puppies on the bus bento for my sons today..


menu are : Indonesian yellow rice covered with egg sheet as a bus, carrot and peas for the bus lamps. I make puppies from fried shrimp, with details from cheese slices and nori, wheels is from nori and macaroni, also i insert hourenso (spinach) and tomatoes stir fry.

Puppy Bento

it's puppy.. puppy.. cute puppy.. :D
i am gonna busy today.. because some friends will come to my house.. so i should prepare many things.. and, here is fast bento for this morning..


today's bento theme is puppy bento.. it is rice, the puppy is from rice mixed with soy sauce, chikua, broccoli, carrots, corn, and mackarel fish cooked in soy sauce.

Muffin - Bear in Love Bento

Today i make snack after school for my boy.. My sons bento today is only onigiri filling with fish because there are miso soup party in his school.. so kids had lunch at school.

i make choco muffin for my sons snack today.. choco muffin recipe will posted soon in my blog.. :) waiit.. :)


i make bear from 2 cup muffin and for ears i need half of muffin.. so, it take 2.5 muffins.. bear eyes, mouth and love pattern is from chocolate.. (brown and pink). the white colour is from slice cheese.. 

i also insert some fruits : slices of apple, orange, and strawberries.. i think it's complete bento.. :) 
today my sons so surprise, see his after school snack bento and he like it.. 


let's make healthy food from home.. :)

Gulai Telur Ikan

Pas kemaren belanja, nemu telur ikan lagi diskon..jiaaahh ketauan suka diskonan.. :)) sapa yang nggak?? :D

pas beli hari sabtu ga sempet masak karena kebetulan mau bantu - bantu panitia pertandingan badminton Fumiku Cup masak ayam kecap.. ya akhirnya si telur ikan nunggu sampe mingu sore dimasak.. rencananya mau dimasak versi japanese, tapi berubah arah ke gulai..xixixiiii...


resep gulai telur ikan ala ika_mamaDhiNar :

bahan :
telur ikan 150 gram (karena cuman dikit, aku tambahin ikan kakap 3 slices)
daun bawang iris tipis

bumbu :
*bawang putih, halus 2 sdm
*bawang merah/bombay 1 buah, (1/2 untuk dihaluskan, 1/2 iris tipis)
*cabe merah 1-2 buah / paprika merah 1/2 buah (buang isi)
*kemiri 3 buah
*ketumbar bubuk 1/4 sdt
bunga pekak 1 buah
cengkeh 2 buah
air asam 2 sdm/air jeruk nipis 1 sdm
*kunyit bubuk 1/2 sdt
*jahe 1 iris kecil
sereh, keprek
daun jeruk, sobek2
daun pandan,bentuk simpul
air/santan encer (ika pake air 300 cc)
susu/santan kental (saya pake susu 100 cc)

cara : 
haluskan bumbu yang bertanda (*), tumis dengan daun jeruk dan sereh
masukkan telur ikan, dan kakap
tambahkan air/santan encer
masukkan daun pandan
masak hingga berubah warna
tambahkan santan kental/susu
masak hingga mendidih dan matang, koreksi rasa, taburi irisan daun bawang
masak, angkat dan sajikan ;)

waaaa...uenaaakkk..!! semua nambah makannya.. malah kata ayah, kayak makan gulai otak di RM padang :))

kakap asam manis

Event Pawon Ibu bulan ini Seafood Months.. Monthly Event #8 yang ini ga tau mau disetor atau tidak :D
karena seminggu masak seafood bisa > 4x.. maka yaa..maaf klo saya jadi sering setor..xixixixiii...


bahan :
ikan kakap putih, fillet, cuci bersih, lumuri jeruk nipis
bawang putih bubuk
garam
ketumbar bubuk
tepung kanji

cara :
lumuri kakap yang sudah dicuci bersih dnegan jeruk nipis, taburi bawang putih bubuk, sedikitt saja garam, ketumbar, lumuri rata.
guling di tepung kanji
goreng di minyak panas.
sisihkan.

bumbu dan bahan saos asam manis :
wortel, iris korek
timun potong panjang
kembang kol/cauli flower iris kuntum besar
paprika merah/cabe merah

bumbu :
bawang putih halus 1 sdm
bawang bombay 1 buah iris tipis
saos tomat 2 sdm
tomat 1 buah, iris
jahe, keprek
merica bubuk
kecap asin 1 smd
garam gula

cara :
tumis bumbu (bawang putih, bawang bombay, merica,jahe)
tambahkan garam gula
tambahkan saos, kecap
tambahkan sayuran (wortel dulu baru, timun, kembang kol)
tambahkan air, masak sampai sayur  1/2 matang
tambahkan larutan maizena
masak sampai mengental


penyajian :
ambil kakap goreng siram dengan saos asam manis
enjoy ;)

Seafood Potato Pizza

Pizza yang rotinya ada adonan kentangnya..gurih..!! dan toppingnya seafood ;) Yumm..!!
pizza ini dibikin rotinya hari sabtu, lalu simpan kulkas..baru bikin topping n dinikmati minggu sore kemaren :D

Bahan kulit :
- Kentang 100 gr
- Tepung terigu protein sedang (segitiga) 200 gr
- Kuning telur 1 butir
- Garam 1 sdt
- Ragi instan 1 bungkus (11 gr)
- Air 100 ml
- Margarin 1 sdm

Campur terigu dan ragi instan, aduk rata. Tuang air sedikit demi sedikit sambil diuleni hingga rata.
- Masukkan kentang dan kuning telur, uleni hingga rata.
- Tambahkan margarin dan garam, uleni hingga kalis. Diamkan adonan hingga mengembang.
- Pipihkan adonan, letakkan diatas loyang bersemir margarin, tusuk-tusuk dengan garpu.
- Panggang dalam oven bersuhu 160C hingga 1/2 matang (kurang lebih 10 - 15 menit, tergantung ovennya)

topping, ala ika :
bumbu :
saos tomat 5 sdm
kecap asin 1 sdm
bawang putih halus 1 sdm
bawang bombay 1 buah, iris tipis 1/2 tumis dengan bumbu, 1/2 buat topping
merica, pala
garam, gula
maizena 1-2 sdm larutkan di 3-5 sdm air

mix seafood (udang, kerang, cumi)
tomat ukuran sedang 1 buah
paprika merah
jamur shiitake, iris tipis
keju mozzarela sesuka nya :D

cara:
tumis bumbu halus (bawang putih, bombay, merica, pala, garam, gula)
masukkan kecap asin, saos tomat
masukkan seafood mix,
masak sebentar, tambahkan larutan maizena
masak sampai mengental
lalu...


ambil 1 buah roti pizza, beri bumbu topping+seafood, beri paprika, jamur iris, bombay, tomat iris, tutupi dengan keju mozzarella
panggang 15 menit, suhu 170 degree.

Lagi weekend, dingin2, hujan pulaa..males kemana2..jadi marilah kita ngemil.. :D. daaaannn...jatuhlah pilihan hati ini pada pizza.. :) Yuuk mari yang mau nyoba ngepizza


 
Resep kulit diambil dari punya jeng Yulyan Parwati, baru pertama kali nih bikin adonan kulitnya ini tanpa telur, biasanya saya pake telur.. tapi menurut jeng iyan..kulitnya ini jadi crunchy.. baiklah, mari kita cobaaaa.. :) berikut resep kulitnya yang beliau ambil dari Resep majalah sedap :


Bahan Kulit (copas dr iyan):

Bahan biang :
1 sdm ragi instant
75 ml air hangat
1 sdt gula pasir

Bahan :
500 gr tepung terigu protein sedang
150 ml air
1 sdm minyak zaitun
1 sdt garam

Method :
larutkan ragi instant dan air hangat. tambahkan gula pasir aduk rata. Diamkan 10 menit sampai berbusa
campur tepung terigu dan larutan ragi instant. uleni rata. Tuang air sedikit2 sambil diuleni sampai kalis.
masukkan minyak zaitun dan garam uleni sampai elastis. Bulatkan, letakkan di baskom yang telah dioles minyak zaitun, diamkan 1 jam.
Adonan siap digunakan.
Kempiskan adonan, bagi 4 bagian adonan, bulatkan, diamkan 10 menit.
giling tipis setebal 1/2 cm hingga berbentuk bulat dengan sisi lebih tebal.
letakkan di loyang yang ditaburi tipis tepung terigu. Tusuk2 adonan dengan garpu.
Oven 7 menit dengan api bawah suhu 190 deg C sampai setengah matang. Angkat

untuk saos dan topping, saya pake resep saya sendiri.. sbb :

*Saos Pizza ala mamaDhiNar:

Tomat matang 4 buah, cuci bersih, potong kotak kecil
bawang putih haluskan
bawang bombay 1/2 buah iris kotak
pala
merica
garam
gula
sedikt tepung maizena
minyak zaitun untuk menumis

cara : tumis bawang putih halus, masukkan bawang bombay, masukkan tomat, pala, mrica, garam, gula, tambahkan air, masak sampai tomat hancur, tambahkan sedikit maizena, biarkan mengental.

*Topping Seafood ala mamaDhinar :

sosis (ga seafood hehe, tp pake sosis ayam :D)
Kerang, cuci bersih
udang, bersihkan hingga tinggal daging,
cumi-cumi, potong bentuk ring, cuci bersih
jamur, sy pake shitake
paprika hijau, iris memanjang
paprika kuning, iris memanjang
tomat min, iris bagi 4
keju mozzarela, sesuai selera


laluuu...
Oles pizza denggan saus, taburi topping.
Oven 10 menit dengan api bawah suhu 200 deg C sampai matang. (ika : oven 20 menit dengan suhu 180 deg C)

Roll Cake

Wanna try snack for this weekend? it could be your choice.. because it simple and yummy :)

ingredients :
whole eggs 100g (*IKA : about 2 eggs, M size)
sugar 50g
cake flour 50g
milk 20g

how to :
Place eggs and sugar in a bowl. Beat well and heat over low heat until lukewarm. Continue beating until thick and creamy.

Add sifted flour to the egg mixture and stir lightly, then stir in milk.

Blend well. Be careful not to break the bubbles.

Pour the batter into a waxed paper-lined pan. Flatten until 5 mm - 1 cm thick.

Bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C (356 °F) for 10 minutes. Remove from the oven when golden. *IKA 180 degree 15 minute -depends on your oven-

i give filling buttercream and fresh strawberry, roll, insert in refrigerator for a while, slices.. (mine is about 7-8 slices)


ready to serve :)

i tell you this snack is gone just in a few minutes..hehe.. my husband and my sons like it :D

Kuma-mon Bento

Kuma-mon is a name for the mascot of the program from Campaign Surprise Kumamoto city, Japan. it is a cute black bear.. you can see the real pic of kumam-mon in the upper side of the bento box. 

I made this bento last year, for my sons, and he like it much. I haven't uploaded it on blog yet, but already upload it on my facebook.. :)


Kuma-mon or bear is from rice wrapped with nori, facial detail is from cheese and sausage, i also insert cream croquettes (contains of egg, corned beef and mashed broccoli), satay (sweet, marinated tofu, sausage, and chicken ball), also apples.

Apple Carrot Pancake

Pancake yang cepat buat sarapan dan lengkap, karena isinya dah ada sayur dan buah ;)
bisa buat ngakalin, jika anaknya susah makan sayur n buah juga ;)


bahan :
1 1/2 cup tepung terigu
apel 1 buah, kupas, parut kasar
wortel 1/2 buah, kupas parut kasar
minyak zaitun/minyak goreng/margarin leleh 2 sdm
air 100 cc
telur 1 buah
yoghurt plain 2 sdm
baking powder 1/4 sdt *boleh lebih..klo sy mengurangi bahan tambahan.

bahan lain :
margarin untuk menggoreng
susu kental manis untuk kucuran

cara :
1. campur bahan basah : minyak, wortel dan apel parut, telur, air, yoghurt plain.
2. campur bahan kering : tepung terigu, baking powder
3. campur bahan kering dan basah
4. oles margarin di wajan teflon, tuang 1 sdm adonan, jika sudah matang, balik sampai kedua sisi matang, lakukan sampai adonan habis
5. tumpuk pancake, kucuri dengan SKM atau madu
6. sajikan.. :)

note :
*klo suka manis bisa tambah gula 2 sdm (sy tidak pake krn apel dan wortel dah manis)
*beri juga sejimpit garam *klo mau tp saya tidak pake, digoreng margarin dah gurih..

Pumpkin Pancake

Love this pancake.. ! 
it is easy, fast and healthy ;) ika's version : no salt, no sugar, no milk substitute with plain yoghurt :)

modified by ika :

11/4 cups all-purpose flour;
2 tablespoons sugar; *ika : i omit, no sugar at all
2 teaspoons baking powder; *Ika : 1/4 sdt
1/2 teaspoon each cinnamon, ground ginger, and salt; *ika : i omit
1/8 teaspoon nutmeg; and a pinch of ground cloves. *ika : i omit
1 cup milk, *ika : 1 cup plain yoghurt
6 tablespoons canned pumpkin puree, *ika : 100 gr pumpkin steam, blend.
2 tablespoons melted butter,
1 egg;

cara :
mix  wet material : melted butter, egg, puree pumpkin.
mix dry material : flour, baking powder *sugar, salt, if you use*
mix both material
spread teflon pan with butter, pour 1 tablespoon of batter
 
how to serve :
take 1 slices of pancake,add fresh fruit (melon, strawberrry, orange, add yoghurt, honey, cover again with pancake, or add again as you like..
serve.. ;)
